Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Traveling Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential pharmacy services across different CVS Health locations within a designated region, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Travel to various CVS Health pharmacy locations as assigned, often on short notice, to support staffing needs.
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance claims, and patient profiles.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions and resolve basic billing issues.
- Adhere strictly to all state and federal pharmacy regulations and company policies.
- Support pharmacists in all aspects of medication preparation and distribution.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA
- Current state Pharmacy Technician License/Registration in Florida
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt to new environments quickly
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various pharmacy operating systems (e.g., RxConnect)
- Previous experience in a traveling or float pharmacy technician role
- Additional certifications or specialized training in pharmacy operations
