Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Ubisoft is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Virtual Video Game Testers to join our remote team. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity to get paid to play and contribute to the quality of our upcoming titles from the comfort of your home. You’ll be instrumental in identifying bugs, glitches, and usability issues, providing valuable feedback that directly impacts the player experience. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Lake Charles, LA, or beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and identify software defects and inconsistencies within game titles.
- Document and report bugs clearly and concisely in our bug tracking system.
- Provide detailed qualitative feedback on gameplay, mechanics, and user experience.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure the resolution of reported issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand game features and testing requirements.
- Maintain a high level of engagement and focus during gameplay sessions.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality regarding unreleased game content.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to articulate findings clearly and concisely, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of PC and console gaming hardware/software.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- A keen desire to learn and grow within the gaming industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with different gaming platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Previous experience participating in game betas or early access programs.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and test scripts.
- Basic knowledge of game development cycles or terminology.
