Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative, patient, and enthusiastic Online Creative Assistant to support 13-year-old teens with simple graphic design projects and creative tasks. In this part-time, remote role, you will help young learners bring their ideas to life, providing guidance and technical assistance for various digital art and design assignments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about youth mentorship and fostering creativity in a digital space. You will work directly with teens, helping them navigate basic design tools and execute their visions for school projects, personal art, or online content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one online assistance to 13-year-old teens on simple graphic design projects.
- Guide students through basic features of user-friendly graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Google Drawings, simple photo editors).
- Assist with creating social media graphics, presentation slides, simple logos, banners, and other visual content.
- Offer constructive feedback and creative suggestions in an encouraging and supportive manner.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to design tools or file formats.
- Communicate effectively with teens and, when necessary, with their parents or guardians.
- Organize and manage creative assets and project files.
- Stay updated on current simple design trends relevant to youth culture.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in basic graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Canva, Google Workspace design tools).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young people.
- Strong patience and a positive, encouraging attitude.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for easy understanding.
- Reliable internet connection and experience with online communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- A keen eye for visual aesthetics and detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or teenagers in an educational or creative capacity.
- Background in art, design, multimedia, or a related creative field.
- Familiarity with various online learning environments.
- Portfolio showcasing simple graphic design projects (even personal ones).
