Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our team in Santa Ana, California. In this role, you will be the face of Wells Fargo, building strong relationships with our customers by understanding their financial needs and offering personalized solutions. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, opening new accounts, and identifying opportunities to introduce customers to a wider range of our financial products and services. Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Open new checking, savings, and other financial accounts for individuals and businesses.
- Identify and refer customers to specialized Wells Fargo partners for services such as mortgages, investments, and business banking.
- Educate customers on various banking products, digital services, and financial literacy resources.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Wells Fargo products and services.
- Proactively resolve customer issues and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in a customer service, sales, or financial services role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales or performance goals.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a significant plus.
- Experience with sales and relationship management.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
