Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking for a flexible opportunity to make a real difference? Gentiva Health Services is seeking Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide essential care and support to our patients across all suburbs of Orlando. This role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to balance your work with personal commitments, while providing vital assistance with daily living activities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks essential to patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide medication reminders (without administering medication).
- Offer companionship and engage patients in stimulating activities.
- Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Required Skills
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Florida.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various patient homes within the Orlando area.
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and perform required duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid Florida Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- High school diploma or GED.
