Job Description
Join Linde plc as an Industrial Gas Driver with a specialized focus on cryogenic materials. This is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of liquid cryogenic gases to our diverse customer base in the San Jose area and surrounding regions. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport cryogenic liquid industrial gases over local, regional, and occasional longer routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet all safety and operational standards.
- Load and unload cryogenic products at customer sites, adhering to strict safety protocols and handling procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including manifests, delivery tickets, and logbooks, in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing customer needs and representing Linde professionally.
- Monitor product levels and pressure gauges during transit and delivery to maintain product integrity and safety.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and adhere to all company, federal, and state safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Respond to and report any spills, leaks, accidents, or incidents immediately and according to company procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Current Tanker Endorsement
- Current Hazmat Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents, violations, or suspensions in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all transportation regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience driving cryogenic liquid tankers or transporting hazardous materials
- Familiarity with industrial gas products and their properties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle issues
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
