Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic surgical team in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of patients, including obtaining medical history and physical examination.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia, as well as sedation, for a wide range of surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs, anesthetic depth, and physiological responses during anesthesia.
- Manage airways, intubation, and mechanical ventilation.
- Respond to and manage anesthesia-related emergencies and complications.
- Provide post-anesthetic care, including monitoring recovery and pain management.
- Maintain accurate and complete anesthesia records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida or eligible for licensure.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the NBCRNA.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (if applicable to patient population).
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a practicing CRNA in an acute care setting.
- Experience with various anesthesia techniques, including regional nerve blocks and neuraxial anesthesia.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably Cerner.
- Participation in professional organizations related to anesthesia.
