Job Description
Are you ready for a fast-paced role that’s crucial to the e-commerce supply chain? Amazon is hiring E-commerce Returns Sorters for immediate start in our South Bend warehouse. In this role, you will play a vital part in our operations by accurately sorting and processing returned items, ensuring they are handled efficiently and in accordance with company guidelines. This is a physical, hands-on role in a dynamic warehouse environment, perfect for individuals who thrive on organization and contribute to a smooth-running operation. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect returned e-commerce packages and items.
- Accurately sort returned products based on condition, type, and destination.
- Scan items using handheld devices and update inventory records.
- Place sorted items into appropriate bins, pallets, or designated areas.
- Identify damaged or defective items and follow established procedures for disposition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 49 lbs regularly throughout a shift.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment.
- Experience with handheld scanners or inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate manual pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment.
