Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and energetic Exterior Paint Helper to join our local team in Boulder, CO. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in painting, with a specific focus on preparing and painting fences and exterior walls. You will work closely with experienced painters, learning industry best practices, safety protocols, and efficient painting techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a willingness to work outdoors, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead painters with site setup and preparation, including masking, covering, and surface cleaning.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, power washing, and applying primer.
- Help mix and match paints according to specifications.
- Apply paint to fences, exterior walls, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment under supervision.
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Perform general clean-up duties after painting is complete.
- Load and unload materials and supplies.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labor or construction role is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of painting tools and techniques.
- Valid driver's license.
