Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Healthcare Data Analyst to join our innovative and collaborative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home. As a Junior Healthcare Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights, supporting critical decision-making processes within IQVIA and for our clients. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to healthcare operations, patient outcomes, and clinical trials. This role is ideal for an aspiring data professional eager to kickstart their career in the dynamic healthcare sector, providing opportunities to learn from industry experts and contribute to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large healthcare datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within healthcare data.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights.
- Assist senior analysts in conducting in-depth analyses of clinical, operational, and financial healthcare data.
- Prepare presentations and summaries of analytical findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, statisticians, and IT professionals, to understand data requirements and deliver relevant solutions.
- Support the development and implementation of data quality checks and data governance best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with healthcare industry trends and data analysis techniques.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting findings.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Public Health, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of healthcare terminology, systems, and data types (e.g., EHR, claims data).
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) or other programming languages.
- Prior internship or project experience in data analysis, preferably within a healthcare context.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) relevant to healthcare data.
