Job Description

Home Instead Senior Care Hannover is seeking dedicated Community Care Assistants to join our team. This role offers flexible hours that can fit around your lifestyle, and we cover travel expenses, ensuring you’re fairly compensated for your commitment. You will provide essential support to seniors in their homes, helping them with daily tasks, offering companionship, and promoting their well-being. No prior experience in care is necessary as we provide full, comprehensive training. What’s most important is your kind heart and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Record and report any changes in clients' health or behavior
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients
- Build meaningful relationships with clients and their families
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate and empathetic nature
- Reliability and punctuality
- A genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of German language for communication (A2 level preferred, but willingness to learn is crucial)
- Full driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (due to community-based travel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care-giving role (voluntary or professional)
- First Aid certification
- Certification in care or health-related fields
