Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Graffiti Scrubbing Laborer, playing a vital role in maintaining the visual appeal of Dartford under our City Council contract. This outdoor, hands-on position involves the removal of graffiti from various public surfaces, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. You will be part of a team committed to enhancing urban spaces and upholding community standards. This role requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently remove graffiti from public walls, bridges, street furniture, and other designated surfaces.
- Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment and tools, including pressure washers and chemical applicators.
- Prepare surfaces for cleaning and apply appropriate solvents or cleaning agents according to safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any complex or persistent graffiti, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and locations serviced.
- Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Represent Veolia UK professionally while interacting with the public.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow strict guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough and complete graffiti removal.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, cleaning, or landscaping.
- Knowledge of different graffiti removal techniques and chemical applications.
- Full UK driving license.
- First Aid certification.
