Job Description
Are you passionate about vintage fashion and have a keen eye for detail? ASOS is looking for an E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter to join our dedicated warehouse team in Stratford-upon-Avon. In this role, you will be at the heart of our vintage collection, meticulously inspecting, sorting, and categorizing pre-loved garments to ensure they meet our high quality and style standards for online sale. This is a crucial position for someone who understands the nuances of vintage clothing, fabric quality, and current fashion trends. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and evaluate incoming vintage clothing items for style, condition, and authenticity.
- Sort and categorize items based on brand, type, size, era, and current fashion trends.
- Identify and document any defects, damages, or necessary repairs for each garment.
- Prepare items for photography and inventory by ensuring they are clean, tagged, and correctly logged.
- Maintain an organized and efficient sorting area within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure accurate product descriptions and listings.
- Adhere to all company safety and operational guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated strong eye for fashion and current trends.
- Basic understanding of clothing materials, construction, and garment care.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 15kg for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, e-commerce, or warehouse setting.
- Specific experience with vintage clothing, textiles, or fashion curation.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and item logging.
