Job Description
Are you looking to start your career in retail or customer service? Tesco in Inverness is looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as a Cashier / Customer Service Assistant. No prior experience is needed – we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed! This is a fantastic opportunity to develop essential customer service skills, work in a supportive environment, and become a valued part of our local community store. You will be the face of Tesco, ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience for all our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling various payment methods.
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
- Process transactions, including refunds and exchanges, in line with company policies.
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area, ensuring it is well-stocked with bags and promotional materials.
- Assist with other store duties as required, supporting the team to ensure smooth store operations.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security procedures to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
- Promote special offers and loyalty programs (e.g., Clubcard) to customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
