Job Description

Join the Walmart team as a Freight Unloader and play a crucial role in our logistics and supply chain operations. This physically demanding position involves efficiently receiving and processing incoming shipments, ensuring products are moved safely and quickly to their designated areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Manually unload freight from trailers and containers using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
  • Sort and organize incoming merchandise efficiently according to company procedures.
  • Verify product counts against shipping manifests to ensure accuracy.
  • Stage products for storage or further distribution within the warehouse.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (training provided if needed).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality goals.
  • Report any damaged merchandise, equipment issues, or safety hazards immediately.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Strong physical stamina and endurance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and counting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, freight, or similar physically demanding role.
  • Familiarity with operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
