Job Description
Are you looking to earn some extra cash on the weekends? FedEx Ground in Orem, UT, is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Weekend Warehouse Associate. This entry-level position is perfect for those who want to work Saturday and Sunday, providing flexible hours and a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring packages are sorted, loaded, and unloaded efficiently, contributing directly to our commitment to timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from company vehicles and trailers.
- Sort packages by destination in a fast-paced environment.
- Scan and document package information accurately using handheld devices.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other equipment as needed (training provided).
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance).
- Basic ability to read and interpret package labels and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar physical labor role.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
