Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Remote Game Data Verifier with a strong focus on financial accuracy to join our dynamic team. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data generated from our various game titles and platforms. This includes verifying in-game transactions, revenue reports, player spending patterns, and other financial metrics to support critical business decisions and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of data verification principles, and a strong commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced gaming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed verification of game-related financial data, including transaction logs, revenue streams, and user spending reports.
- Cross-reference data across multiple internal systems and external financial records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies, anomalies, and potential errors in financial data, thoroughly investigating root causes.
- Document findings clearly and concisely, preparing reports for review by financial and product teams.
- Collaborate with game development, analytics, and finance teams to resolve data inaccuracies and improve data collection processes.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of data verification methodologies and best practices.
- Adhere strictly to data security and confidentiality protocols, especially concerning sensitive financial information.
- Assist in audit preparations by providing accurate and verified data sets as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data verification, quality assurance, or a similar data-centric role.
- Proven experience with financial data analysis, verification, or reconciliation.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Basic understanding of database querying (SQL) or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data visualization.
