Job Description
Join Club Doncaster as an Event Steward and be a vital part of delivering memorable experiences at the Eco-Power Stadium! We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our casual team for match days, concerts, and other events. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and enjoyment of thousands of attendees.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety and security of all patrons and visitors throughout events.
- Providing exceptional customer service, assistance with queries, and information on facilities.
- Directing patrons efficiently to their seats, facilities, and designated exits.
- Monitoring crowd behaviour, identifying potential issues, and reporting them promptly to supervisors.
- Conducting routine bag searches and maintaining strict access control at entry points.
- Assisting with and implementing emergency procedures, including full venue evacuations, as required.
- Maintaining a visible, approachable, and professional presence at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure event environments.
- Strong customer service orientation and a proactive approach to helping others.
- Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Possession of the legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a stewarding, security, or customer service role within a public venue.
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (beneficial but not always essential for all steward positions).
- Current First Aid qualification.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures in public entertainment venues.
