Job Description

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Screen Wash Refill Aide to join our professional fleet care team in Nashville. In this crucial entry-level role, you will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles in our fleet are properly stocked with screen wash and other essential fluids, contributing directly to the safety and operational readiness of our trucks. This position is vital for maintaining our high standards of vehicle presentation and functionality, supporting our drivers and clients with well-maintained equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and replenish screen wash levels in all fleet vehicles according to company standards.
  • Check and top off other essential fluids such as coolant and engine oil as needed and directed by supervisors.
  • Perform basic visual inspections of vehicles to identify any immediate maintenance needs (e.g., fluid leaks, low tire pressure) and report findings to the maintenance team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the fluid storage and dispensing stations.
  • Assist with general yard duties and vehicle movement as instructed by supervisors, ensuring safe operation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations while performing duties.
  • Document fluid levels, replenishment activities, and inspection findings accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding fleet readiness.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Physical ability to lift moderate weights (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fleet, automotive, or similar industrial environment.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures for handling automotive fluids and equipment.
