Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Warehouse Runner to join our FedEx team in Glendale, CA. This role is crucial for maintaining the swift flow of operations within our busy warehouse. As a Warehouse Runner, you will be responsible for quickly moving packages, materials, and equipment to various points within the facility, ensuring that all logistics tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Execute rapid movement of packages, documents, and other materials between warehouse zones.
- Perform quick sorting and staging tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Retrieve and deliver necessary equipment or supplies to various workstations promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promptly addressing any spills or debris.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies meticulously.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding task status and potential issues.
- Adapt to changing priorities and workloads with a positive and proactive attitude.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Excellent sense of urgency and ability to move quickly and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure correct item handling and placement.
- Basic communication skills to understand instructions and report progress.
