Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and energetic Glassware Washing Assistant to join our vibrant banquet team. In this entry-level, on-site role, you will be crucial in ensuring our banquet operations run smoothly by maintaining an immaculate supply of glassware for events. This position requires a keen eye for cleanliness, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean and sanitize all types of glassware used in banquet events.
- Inspect washed glassware for cleanliness, spotting, and damage, ensuring only pristine items are returned to service.
- Manually wash delicate or specialty glassware as required.
- Organize and store clean glassware efficiently and safely in designated areas.
- Monitor detergent and sanitizing agent levels, replenishing as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized washing area, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces.
- Assist with the breakdown and setup of banquet events as needed, including polishing glassware.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or glassware breakages promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dishwashing, kitchen, or hospitality environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
