Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit individual to join our arena preparation team as a Rodeo Dirt Raker / Arena Prep specialist. This hands-on role involves significant manual labor and operation of equipment to ensure our event arenas are perfectly maintained for various equestrian and rodeo events. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining arena surfaces, often in dusty and demanding outdoor conditions. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate specialized equipment (tractors, rakers, groomers) for arena surface preparation and maintenance.
  • Perform manual labor including shoveling, raking, and leveling dirt to precise specifications.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery and tools.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet event deadlines.
  • Assist with general site setup and teardown as required.
  • Monitor arena conditions and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal safety and performance.

Required Skills

  • Proven physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods.
  • Experience operating agricultural or heavy machinery (e.g., tractors, skid steers).
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including dusty environments.
  • Attention to detail to ensure precise arena surface quality.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in equestrian facility maintenance, rodeo arena preparation, or similar agricultural roles.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Familiarity with various types of dirt and soil for arena surfaces.
  • Certification in operating specific heavy machinery.
