Job Description
Join the Target team as a Part-time Retail Merchandiser! This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working independently in a fast-paced retail environment, focusing on product presentation and inventory accuracy. You’ll primarily work morning shifts, ensuring our shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing before the peak shopping hours. This position offers a dynamic work environment, opportunities to contribute to the store’s success, and valuable team member discounts on a wide range of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute merchandising plans and directives to ensure proper product placement and presentation.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain inventory levels.
- Create appealing product displays that attract customers and drive sales.
- Ensure all products are priced correctly and promotional signage is accurately displayed.
- Monitor product freshness and remove expired or damaged items.
- Assist with backroom organization and inventory management tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor.
- Collaborate with store leadership and team members to achieve sales and merchandising goals.
- Provide excellent guest service when approached by shoppers, assisting with product location or general inquiries.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and visual merchandising skills.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and moving merchandise for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of retail operations and inventory management.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or stockroom operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with planograms and visual display techniques.
