Job Description
Join Werner Enterprises as a Long Haul CDL-A Trucker and become a vital part of our award-winning transportation network. We are seeking dedicated and professional Class A CDL drivers to transport goods across the country, primarily operating OTR (Over-The-Road) routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle for long-haul routes across state lines.
- Transport goods efficiently and on schedule, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Represent Werner Enterprises professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with trucking, including lifting and securing cargo.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement (H endorsement).
- Tanker endorsement (N endorsement).
- Experience with refrigerated freight or specialized cargo.
- Proven track record of on-time delivery and strong customer service.
