Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Online Civic Engagement Assistant to join our remote team. This role is crucial in supporting our mission by facilitating digital outreach, managing online community platforms, and assisting with data collection related to our civic engagement programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about civic participation, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced virtual environment. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate online forums, social media groups, and discussion boards to ensure a positive and productive environment for civic discourse.
- Assist in drafting and scheduling engaging content for various digital channels, including social media, email newsletters, and website updates.
- Provide administrative support for online events, webinars, and virtual workshops, including participant registration and technical assistance.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to online engagement metrics, preparing reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Respond to inquiries from community members and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner, guiding them to relevant resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement new online engagement strategies and tools.
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and community management tools.
- Basic understanding of data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Demonstrated interest in civic engagement, public policy, or non-profit work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM software or email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Mailchimp).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for creating engaging digital content.
