Job Description
Join the UPS team as a Package Delivery Driver and become an essential part of our global logistics network. This role involves the timely and safe delivery of packages to residential and commercial customers. You will be responsible for operating a UPS package car, navigating delivery routes, and ensuring packages reach their destination efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a UPS package car safely and efficiently, following all company and traffic regulations.
- Deliver and pick up packages promptly and accurately to various destinations.
- Scan and log package information using handheld devices.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Complete daily delivery manifests and related paperwork.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license (CDL not required for package delivery).
- Clean driving record for the past three years.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and understand maps and GPS devices.
- At least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Plano, TX area.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
