Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Clinical Assistant to join our busy medical office for a stable afternoon roster. This role is crucial in supporting our healthcare professionals, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining an efficient clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients, verify appointments, and update demographic information.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies for patient visits.
  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed.
  • Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up reminders.
  • Handle patient inquiries, provide general information, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Process referrals, requisitions, and medical documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain electronic and paper medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Order and restock medical supplies and maintain inventory.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Office Administration diploma or certificate.
  • Experience with Accuro EMR system.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Punjabi, Urdu, French) relevant to the local community.
