Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team for a casual weekend roster at our Indianapolis location. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible weekend hours and an opportunity to earn a weekly bonus for their commitment. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy, focusing on patient care and customer service during peak weekend hours. This is an on-site position requiring your presence at our pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process patient prescriptions, including data entry and insurance claims.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions and addressing concerns.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves and monitoring expiration dates.
- Operate pharmacy systems and cash registers, handling transactions with precision.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Organize and maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy workspace.
- Participate in weekly bonus program based on performance and shift fulfillment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and point-of-sale systems.
- Commitment to working weekend shifts as part of a casual roster.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.
