Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Transport goods efficiently and on schedule, adhering to delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and records of service hours.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, minimizing risks and preventing accidents.
- Manage freight handling and securement as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Recent graduation from an accredited CDL training program.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws.
- Basic understanding of truck maintenance and pre/post-trip inspections.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- HazMat endorsement or willingness to obtain one.
- Tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain one.
- Prior experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
