Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Audio Editor to join our growing digital news and content team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing, mixing, and mastering audio content for a variety of digital platforms, including podcasts, news segments, and multimedia features. The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for detail, a strong understanding of audio production workflows, and a passion for storytelling. This position offers flexible hours, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life while contributing to meaningful local journalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit, mix, and master audio recordings for clarity, quality, and impact.
- Implement sound design elements, music, and voiceovers to enhance narrative.
- Ensure all audio content adheres to brand guidelines and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, and content creators to understand project vision and deliver polished audio.
- Manage multiple audio projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain an organized library of audio assets and project files.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements to audio recording processes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X).
- Strong understanding of audio principles, mixing, and mastering techniques.
- Excellent ear for detail and sound quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
