Job Description
Google is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Google Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on Legal Tech to join our fully remote team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the integrity and effectiveness of Google’s products and services by meticulously evaluating legal inquiries and ensuring compliance with global legal frameworks and company policies. As a Google Legal Inquiry Evaluator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Google’s commitment to user safety, data privacy, and intellectual property rights. You will leverage advanced legal tech tools and internal systems to review, categorize, and process complex legal requests, ranging from data disclosures to content removals. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to respond accurately and efficiently to legal challenges in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the specified region while collaborating with a global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly evaluate incoming legal inquiries, including court orders, subpoenas, and governmental requests, for validity and scope.
- Utilize legal tech platforms and internal tools to research, analyze, and process complex legal requests.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, legal guidelines, and international regulations in all evaluations.
- Collaborate with legal counsel, policy teams, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and implement solutions.
- Document evaluation processes and decisions meticulously, maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Identify patterns and trends in legal inquiries to contribute to the development of improved internal tools and processes.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with evolving legal frameworks and technological advancements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal research, compliance, data analysis, or a similar field with a strong legal component.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and applying legal statutes, regulations, and policies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex legal documents and derive accurate conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with modern office software and a strong aptitude for learning new legal tech tools and systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of tasks effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Experience working with global legal systems and international data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with intellectual property law, cybersecurity, or online content moderation.
