Job Description
Kroger in Memphis, TN is seeking enthusiastic and responsible 16-year-old high school students to join our team for afternoon shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for teens to gain valuable work experience in a supportive retail environment, develop essential life skills, and earn income. Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with locating products and provide friendly service.
- Help maintain store cleanliness and organization, including stocking shelves and fronting products.
- Bag groceries efficiently and carefully, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support various departments with light tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility.
- Adhere to all safety and company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to work afternoon shifts, typically starting after school hours.
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer experience or involvement in school activities.
- Ability to work some weekend shifts (if available and desired).
- Demonstrated reliability and responsibility.
