Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to earn extra income this holiday season without needing a driver’s license? FedEx Ground is hiring Seasonal Driver Aides in River North, Chicago! This is a ride-along position where you’ll assist our experienced drivers with package delivery and pickup. No driving is required, and no special license is needed. You’ll be a crucial part of our team, helping to sort packages, navigate routes, and ensure timely deliveries. This role is perfect for individuals who are reliable, enjoy being active, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Ride along with FedEx Ground drivers to assist with package deliveries and pickups.
- Efficiently sort and organize packages within the delivery vehicle.
- Navigate routes using provided tools and communicate effectively with drivers.
- Ensure packages are handled with care and delivered safely to designated locations.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with recipients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 lbs (with assistance for heavier items).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the River North area of Chicago.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
