Job Description

Are you a die-hard NHL fan who lives for the weekend? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and a knack for finding glitches? Electronic Arts is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Game Testers to join our team for weekend shifts, specifically focusing on our EA Sports NHL franchise. As a Weekend Warrior, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and polish of upcoming NHL titles, helping us deliver the best possible experience to our global community of players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and identify bugs, glitches, and other defects within EA Sports NHL games during weekend shifts.
  • Accurately document, report, and track issues using internal bug tracking software.
  • Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on gameplay, features, and overall user experience.
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure the stability and functionality of game builds.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand game mechanics and testing requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current NHL rules, teams, and player statistics to provide relevant feedback.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines regarding unreleased game content.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated passion for the NHL franchise and ice hockey in general.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate various software applications.

  • Reliable attendance for scheduled weekend shifts.

  • Previous experience in game testing, quality assurance (QA), or a related field.

  • Experience with bug reporting tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Knowledge of game development processes and methodologies.
