Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Seasonal Strawberry Pickers to join our team for an immediate start. This vital role is based at our growing fields near Southampton and is crucial for harvesting our delicious strawberries during peak season. You will be responsible for carefully picking ripe strawberries, ensuring their quality and preparing them for distribution. This is a physically demanding yet rewarding role, perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to a successful harvest. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick ripe strawberries from plants, ensuring minimal damage to fruit and plant.
- Sort and grade picked strawberries according to quality standards.
- Place harvested fruit into punnets or trays efficiently and neatly.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area in the fields.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily picking targets.
- Follow instructions from team leaders regarding picking techniques and areas.
