Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Cold Storage Associates to join our growing team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Cold Storage Associate, you will play a critical role in the accurate and efficient handling of temperature-sensitive products within our state-of-the-art cold storage facility. This is a physically demanding role performed in a cold environment, but we provide all necessary freezing gear and competitive “top pay” to ensure your comfort and safety. If you are detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic, and are ready to contribute to a vital supply chain, we encourage you to apply. Experience in a cold storage environment is a plus, but not strictly required as comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and scan products in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed) in a safe manner.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of goods.
- Perform inventory control tasks, including counting and verifying product accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall team success.
- Ensure product integrity and quality throughout the storage and retrieval process.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a cold storage environment (temperatures typically range from 0°F to -10°F).
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or cold storage facility.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and inventory tracking.
- High school diploma or GED.
