Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Work From Home Curriculum Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is 100% remote and focused on designing and developing high-quality lesson plans and educational content for various subjects and audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instructional design principles, excellent writing skills, and a proven ability to create engaging and effective learning materials that meet diverse educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and write comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning modules from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy and pedagogical soundness.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Conduct research to identify best practices in curriculum development and integrate them into new and existing materials.
  • Review and revise existing curriculum to ensure alignment with learning objectives, industry standards, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Develop assessment tools and activities to measure learning outcomes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with other developers and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with educational trends, technologies, and innovative teaching strategies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in curriculum development and lesson plan writing.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
  • Exceptional written communication and editing skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other content creation tools.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, English, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as D2L Brightspace, Moodle, or Canvas.
  • Familiarity with SCORM or xAPI standards.
  • Experience developing curriculum for K-12, higher education, or corporate training environments.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles.
