Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Algorithmic Data Verifier to join our data quality team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of large datasets processed by our advanced algorithms. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of our data products, identifying discrepancies, and working closely with data scientists and engineers to implement corrective measures and improve algorithmic performance. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a foundational understanding of data processing principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually review and verify data outputs generated by automated algorithms for accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify, document, and report data anomalies, discrepancies, and errors in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to troubleshoot data quality issues and provide feedback for algorithmic improvements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data verification processes and findings.
  • Participate in the creation and refinement of data validation rules and quality assurance metrics.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring data accuracy problems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality tools and methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data verification, data quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL basics).
  • Ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies in large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics).
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python for data analysis.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and their impact on data outputs.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced technology or data-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
