Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Game Tester to join our quality assurance team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and playability of our upcoming titles. You will be responsible for meticulously testing games, identifying bugs, and providing constructive feedback to development teams, contributing directly to the player experience. Key Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and test cases thoroughly to identify defects, glitches, and usability issues across various game platforms.
• Accurately record and document bugs using our bug tracking system, providing clear and concise reproduction steps, screenshots, and video evidence where necessary.
• Verify bug fixes and conduct thorough regression testing to ensure previously identified issues remain resolved and no new issues are introduced.
• Provide objective and constructive feedback on game design, user experience, and overall gameplay, offering insights from a player's perspective.
• Collaborate effectively with development, design, and other QA team members to communicate findings and contribute to product improvement.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress, roadblocks, and upcoming tasks.
• Maintain a strong understanding of game mechanics, features, and overall product vision to inform testing strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, gaming platforms, and testing methodologies.

Required Skills

• Strong passion for video games and a solid understanding of various game genres.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for inconsistencies, errors, and potential issues.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and test plans accurately and efficiently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting and team collaboration.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a QA or testing role, even non-gaming related, demonstrating an understanding of testing principles.
• Familiarity with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile) and their respective ecosystems.
• Knowledge of game development cycles and processes.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• A degree or certification in a related field (e.g., Game Design, Computer Science, Quality Assurance).
