Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Process patient prescriptions, including data entry and insurance billing.
- Maintain organized inventory of medications and supplies, assisting with stock rotation and ordering.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy.
- Prepare prescription labels and maintain patient profiles.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Hawaii State Pharmacy Technician License or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Availability to work evening shifts consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (e.g., from PTCB or NHA).
- Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting (even if limited).
- Familiarity with pharmacy terminology and medication names.
