Job Description
Are you looking for an active role where you can contribute to making people’s moving days stress-free? Britannia Movers International is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Light Removals Taskers to join our dedicated team in Hove. This role focuses exclusively on the crucial packing and loading aspects of removals, ensuring items are safely and efficiently prepared for transport. If you’re physically fit, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment, we want to hear from you! No prior experience is required, as comprehensive full training will be provided to all successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently pack household and office items into boxes, ensuring proper padding, protection, and accurate labeling.
- Load packed boxes and furniture onto removal vehicles with utmost care, optimizing space and securing loads for safe transit.
- Assist with the dismantling and reassembly of basic furniture as required, following instructions precisely.
- Protect clients' property and possessions at all times, including floors, walls, and doorways.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and clients on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after tasks.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy items repeatedly throughout the day.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a careful handling approach to delicate and valuable items.
- Proven reliability and punctuality, understanding the importance of schedules in removals.
- Strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of English for clear communication with colleagues and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar manual handling, logistics, or warehousing role (though not strictly required).
- A full, clean UK driving license (advantageous for future progression, but not essential for this specific tasker role).
- A demonstrated customer service orientation and friendly demeanor.
