Job Description
Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse looking for a challenging yet rewarding role with premium compensation? MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking passionate and skilled ‘Weekend Warrior’ RNs to join our dynamic team. This unique opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise specifically on Saturday and Sunday shifts, receiving enhanced pay rates for your commitment. You will provide exceptional patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice within a leading medical center. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and document all observations accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Specialty certification (e.g., Med-Surg, Critical Care).
- Experience working weekend shifts in a hospital setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
