Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Fact-Checking Verifier for AI with a strong focus on media and data. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and verifying information used to train and validate artificial intelligence models. Your primary focus will be on assessing the accuracy, impartiality, and reliability of various data sources, including news articles, social media content, research papers, and proprietary datasets. You will play a vital part in enhancing the integrity and trustworthiness of AI systems by identifying and correcting misinformation, bias, and factual errors.
Key Responsibilities
- Fact-check a wide range of content, including text, images, and audio, for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Verify claims and statements against reputable and authoritative sources across various domains.
- Identify and flag instances of misinformation, disinformation, logical fallacies, and biased content.
- Analyze data sets to ensure data integrity, relevance, and freedom from inherent biases.
- Provide clear, concise, and well-supported rationales for all verification decisions.
- Collaborate with AI development teams to provide feedback on data quality and model performance.
- Stay updated on current events, media trends, and best practices in fact-checking and data verification.
- Adhere to strict quality guidelines and deadlines for all verification tasks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in fact-checking, research, content analysis, or data verification.
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of media ethics, journalistic principles, and information literacy.
- Proficiency in identifying credible sources and discerning reliable information from unreliable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic familiarity with data structures and principles of data quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Library Science, Political Science, or a related field.
- Experience working with large datasets or content moderation platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/Machine Learning concepts and their applications.
