Job Description
Are you an early riser looking for a physically active part-time role with excellent pay on weekends? Waste Management is seeking dedicated and reliable Part-time Bin Collectors to join our team in Downtown Los Angeles. This vital role involves collecting residential and commercial waste bins, ensuring timely and efficient service for our community. You’ll be an essential part of keeping our city clean, working independently and as part of a supportive team. Key Responsibilities
- Operate assigned collection vehicles safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Collect and transport waste and recycling materials from residential and commercial bins.
- Ensure all bins are emptied completely and returned to their designated spots.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding route issues or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy bins and perform physical tasks repeatedly.
- Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid California Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in waste collection or a similar physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with Downtown Los Angeles routes.
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
