Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced IKEA Kitchen Door Fitter to join our growing team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this specialized role, you will be responsible for the precise installation and final finishing of IKEA kitchen cabinet doors, drawer fronts, decorative panels, and other custom elements. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a keen eye for aesthetics, and the ability to ensure all components are perfectly aligned and installed to the highest standards, delivering a flawless finish for our clients’ dream kitchens.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately read and interpret IKEA kitchen plans and installation guides.
- Precisely measure, cut, and fit IKEA kitchen doors, drawer fronts, and decorative panels.
- Install hinges, handles, and other hardware components with precision and alignment.
- Ensure all cabinet doors and drawers are level, plumb, and operate smoothly.
- Perform adjustments and fine-tuning to achieve a seamless and aesthetically pleasing final finish.
- Identify and address any imperfections or misalignments promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction throughout the installation process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, protecting client property.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cabinet installation or finish carpentry, preferably with IKEA systems.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools common to carpentry and installation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurement and fitting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot installation challenges.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver cabinet components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically fitting IKEA kitchen systems (SEKTION, METOD, etc.).
- Certification in carpentry or a related trade.
