Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team in South Burlington, Vermont. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of heating oil, propane, and other petroleum products to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This is a local tanker role, meaning you’ll be home daily, and your commitment to safety will be rewarded with a bonus structure. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial tank truck to transport and deliver fuel products to customers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Load and unload fuel in compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and submit required paperwork promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
- Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Required Skills
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong commitment to safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience, specifically with fuel or liquid bulk transport
- Experience working in all weather conditions
- Familiarity with the South Burlington and surrounding Vermont service area
