Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Media Planner to join our dynamic team, supporting campaigns for a major entertainment client, specifically in the realm of Netflix advertising. This is a unique opportunity for an entry-level professional to dive into the world of media planning, learning from industry experts and contributing to impactful projects. The Junior Media Planner will play a crucial role in assisting with the development, implementation, and optimization of media strategies across various platforms, helping to ensure our campaigns reach the right audience at the right time. This 100% remote position offers flexibility and a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research and analysis of target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscapes to inform media strategy.
- Support the development of comprehensive media plans, including channel selection, budget allocation, and scheduling for digital and traditional platforms.
- Collaborate with senior planners and strategists to gather data and insights for campaign optimization.
- Prepare and present media performance reports, identifying key metrics and actionable recommendations.
- Maintain strong relationships with media vendors and internal teams.
- Monitor campaign performance, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Support the reconciliation of media invoices and budget tracking.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest in media, advertising, and the entertainment industry.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship experience in a media agency or marketing department.
- Familiarity with media planning software or ad serving platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Nielsen, comScore).
- Understanding of various media channels (e.g., streaming platforms, social media, linear TV, OOH).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio).
