Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Order Picker Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team in Sunnyvale, California. This combined skilled role involves operating an order picker forklift for accurate product retrieval and staging, alongside general warehouse duties to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and contributing to the timely dispatch of customer orders in a fast-paced environment. Safety and efficiency are paramount in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate order picker forklifts safely and efficiently to retrieve products from various warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage products according to order specifications and delivery schedules.
- Perform pre-shift equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and organizing inventory as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
- Utilize RF scanners or other warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and update records.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year proven experience operating order picker forklifts.
- Valid and current forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory counts and order verification.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced logistics or distribution center.
- Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment and safety protocols.
