Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and meticulous EA Games Scribe with a focus on high volume documentation to join our dynamic team in Berkeley. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and comprehensive records of game development processes, design decisions, meeting minutes, and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional listening skills, rapid transcription abilities, and a keen eye for detail, thriving in a fast-paced creative environment. You will be responsible for transforming complex discussions and information into clear, concise, and accessible documentation for various internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend numerous meetings, design reviews, and planning sessions to capture critical information accurately.
- Transcribe and summarize discussions, decisions, action items, and technical details in real-time or from recordings.
- Organize and maintain a high volume of documentation, ensuring version control and easy accessibility for the team.
- Collaborate with game designers, engineers, producers, and other team members to clarify ambiguities and gather missing information.
- Create and update documentation templates to streamline the scribing process and maintain consistency.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other communication materials based on documented information.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in documentation practices and suggest solutions.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to established company standards and guidelines.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of professional experience in a scribe, minute-taker, administrative, or documentation-focused role.
- Exceptional active listening and rapid information capture skills.
- Proven ability to transcribe complex discussions accurately and succinctly.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on managing high volumes of data and documentation.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High degree of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
