Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and efficient Pharmacy Data Processor to join our remote team. This is a high-volume data entry role critical to the accurate and timely processing of pharmacy information. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering, verifying, and maintaining prescription data, patient information, and insurance details with exceptional speed and accuracy. This 100% remote position requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter high volumes of prescription data, patient demographics, and insurance information into proprietary systems.
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting errors promptly.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and company information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Process new prescriptions, refills, and transfer requests efficiently.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members virtually to resolve discrepancies or clarify information.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform other data entry and administrative tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in high-volume data entry (minimum 6 months).
  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60 WPM).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data entry software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a remote environment.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and prescription drug names.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., Epic, Cerner,RxConnect).
  • Associate's degree or relevant certification.
